I'm planning on doing commission pieces but i have absolutely no idea where to start. :[

i want to know stuff like these:

*how much do you charge for a single illustration?

*how will you know if the commissioner will actually pay you?

*how does Paypal work?

*is being a freelancer better than having a real job?
